Gel-up your face!
NATURE REPUBLIC
ALOE VERA SOOTHING GEL
300ml
My mom gifted me this last holiday as a way to get some of her many presents out of the house.
She's not into gel skin care (preferring cream, esp. san-ing). Yay for me, her opportunistic daughter. I hurriedly stowed this in my handbag.
This is a hefty tub. About as big as my ST. IVES Collagen Elastin Moisturizer (see post here).
I waited for a month of usage before writing a review to make sure I give the best review.
The product is a heavy clear gel. It's supposed to be all natural (not sure, I can't read Korean). The consistency is not very viscous. It's a bit more watery and melts when touched.
NATURE REPUBLIC is a Korean brand specializing in all-natural beauty and skin-care products.
They have a display in LANDMARK, TRINOMA and I'm saving up to try their BB Cream and, maybe, their hand cream in cute little containers as well.
Think TONY MOLY only a tad less pricey.
The consistency of the product reminds me of the serums in face masks from Beauty Buffet or Daiso (see what I mean here).
Especially when you take off the mask and massage the excess product on to your skin.
This product is so freakin' similar to that. It also leaves you with the same sticky feeling.
PRO:
BIG TUB
This baby will last you a year.
MINIMAL PRODUCT USE PER APPLICATION
The product swatched on my hand covers my face AND neck.
QUICK ABSORPTION
Easily absorbed into the skin. The product seemingly melts from touch.
COOLING
Aloe vera's cooling properties is definitely in this product
HYDRATES SKIN
Your skin will look and feel "alive" and hydrated.
CON:
STICKY
Once absorbed by the skin, it leaves skin feeling sticky.
HYDRATION NEEDS SEALANT
Make sure to apply a light to medium moisturizer.
This tip will also get rid of the sticky feeling.
PRICEY
They didn't have this in stock at the display (Landmark, TRINOMA) but I'm guessing this is above the P500 price range.
That's not bad considering the amount your are getting. But if you're a sachet girl, like me, this does not come in a smaller tub.
TIP:
You can choose to de-pot this or transfer this to a container w/ pump.
I do believe that this product will be good with pumps.
It isn't hygienic to keep dipping your fingers in the tub.
I've yet to de-pot this but to keep bacteria in check, I dip into the lid. Not much of a difference I know lol.
xo, Pau
