DAISO Collagen Moisturizing Face Mask - 3 for P88
BEAUTY BUFFET Feed Your Skin Everyday
BLACK PEARL WHITENING FACIAL MASK
Radiant & Resilient
P44
I simply adore face masks. They make my skin feel smooth and silky.
I use these for spa nights, when my skin had been taking a beating.
I recommend using this before bed. You'll see your skin looking radiant in the morning!
In this post, I'll review and demo two face masks.
DAISO is a Japanese "dollar store" that had started sprouting up in most popular malls and street corners all over the city.
Its popularity came from the interesting affordable merchandise. It was the first store that carried relatively cheap face masks at 3 for P88.
I owe a lot to the DAISO face masks as it had started my love for this beauty item.
These DAISO masks come in four variants. I recommend stocking up on them as they aren't usually restocked. I've nearly depleted my hoard with only the Collagen Masks left.
My favorite are the Oil Control ones.
As this was somewhat of an old stock, the sheet had crumpled into itself at the bottom of the foil packet.
Note: Store the masks face down!
When out of the pack, the mask looks like a very wet face-shaped wipe.
The "wetness" is similar to a serum and is very good for your skin.
It's jam packed with goodies that will be absorbed by your skin when you put the mask on.
The mask is decent sized and could more than fit any face shape. I've applied it on to the boyfriend here (as I used the Beauty Buffet one).
The mask acts like a vacuum on your pores, making sure that oxygen is out and serum is in.
This makes your skin absorb the serum more effectively than by merely rubbing it in.
You sneaky little thing! The mask itself was sticking to a flexible clear face-shaped plastic.
No wonder it didn't crumple like the DAISO.
I feel like it needed to do that as the mask felt significantly thinner.
There's visibly less serum left inside the foil packet once you take the mask out compared with the DAISO mask.
I do hope that it's because the serum was absorbed into the mask pretty well. Or, they're skimping on the serum, which is really the important bit here.
The mask is smaller than the DAISO mask. It is translucent once applied.
Having known how DAISO masks feel by heart, I've noticed that Beauty Buffet feels like it's doing a great job at keeping air out from under the mask.
I felt this important at first, but then, I'm no expert.
Post-Beauty Buffet face mask, my skin has absorbed most of the serum. It may be because of the material of the mask, the serum's formulation or both.

Beauty Buffet face masks are available from WATSON at P44.
This is a much more expensive product but it is easier to get your hands on them.
No need to stock as they are readily available when you're feeling up for one.
Although Beauty Buffet is a new purchase, it has held up well to my idiot stacking.
Little did I know that there's a secret to it.
BTW, Beauty Buffet is a Korean product while DAISO is Japanese (obv.). Just throwing it out there.
All masks I've seen come in one mask per packet. This is to make sure that every mask is in prime condition.

You are supposed to leave face masks on for a maximum of 20 minutes.
I leave it on until I feel like the mask has dried up.
Rub on the remaining serum (the one on your face or left in the packet).
Overall, both masks seem to do their jobs well.
As what happens after my face mask treatment, my skin looks brighter.
My pores are tighter and my skin feels rejuvenated.
Your make-up will also apply better.
I would repurchase more DAISO in the future as they are quite cheap.
I would also repurchase Beauty Buffet but I prefer to try the other variants.
It is recommended for you to use a mask once or twice a week to see its full effects.
When I was doing this religiously with DAISO masks, I have seen a difference in how my face looks and feels.
I highly recommend for you to get on this routine if you spend most of your time in an air-conditioned environment, where the air is dry.
Younger girls might not take to this as they don't need it as much. Lucky you!
