I keep it pretty minimal when I wear statement earrings in daytime (see post here).
But when the night rolls in, it's a whole different ball game (think shimmer).
If I'm going out, I nearly always wear big dangly earrings.
It just brings the extra something to a clubbing outfit!
TIP 1 : HIGHLIGHT
At night, I feel more confident with highlight and contour.
There's no sunlight to make natural shadows.
So, I compensate with make-up (yay for make-up!).
Apply highlight on your cheekbones and cupid's bow.
My eye bags wanted to say hi in the pic above >.<
TIP 2 : CONTOUR
There's nothing like make-up to make your face look like a face (not like a plate - does this joke translate in English? Let me know in the comments below!).
Contour on the hallows of your cheeks.
Did you know that contouring also makes you look spectacular on photos?
TIP 3 : GO B+OLD (Black and Gold) !
I'm matching the tones of my statement earrings by going gold and black on my eyes.
If I was wearing silver earrings, I would go silver or blue/purple.
I'm wearing nearly all shimmer shadows here. I would normally wear a cat eye as well, but I couldn't find my pen liner :( (my vanity/bag/house is a black hole!).
You can also use false lashes to bring out your eyes more.
Also, a friend had been using glitter shadows under her waterline. I personally wouldn't go for that, but that might me something you'd like to do as well.
If you're looking for drama, statement earrings are the way to go!
