What a surprisingly effective product!
I did not think that I would find a product that would match my fave AVON lip balms (my January 2014 Favorite).
Even Nivea Visage lippies didn't work on my stubbornly dry and constantly chapped lips.
However, I was feeling quite adventurous in Mercury Drug that day and the packaging of the Maybelline New York BABY LIPS is to die for!
I picked the Anti-Oxidant Berry variety merely for its pretty color combination of baby blue and bright neon pink.

This tube is so me.
It has a light berry (fruity) smell. Thankfully, it's not over-powering to the senses.

It doesn't taste like anything - another good non-feature.
It has a waxy consistency and applies quite clear.

I understand that there are variants that gives off color, but I wasn't much interested in that as this balm would sit under my lip stick.
This product keeps my lippies quite hydrated and prevented ugly chapped lips.
The waxy feeling doesn't stay long and disappears completely after a short while.
It may be because the product had 1) absorbed by the lips or 2) disappeared completely.
Either way, it's compact enough to slip into your clutch/bag for easy reapplication through out the day.
Whenever I do not wear lip stick, I keep to this product.
Although this product offers no color, it does leave lips with a small shine.
It's not a brilliant glassy or wet shine. It's not meant to be a gloss.
I recommend the no color of this product.
The formula does work. But it needs reapplication through out the day.
I suspect that it disappears quite quickly so the color versions might not have staying power.
Although, I have not tried any of those.
Maybe I should... What do you think?
