We were at SM Hypermart, ETON CENTRIS when it poured down like crazy.
Stuck in ETON CENTRIS, we decided to spend some time at COMEBUY, The World's Tea Shop.
COMEBUY: The World's Tea Shop
ETON CENTRIS
Quezon Avenue, MRT Station
It was a pretty suggestive name for a tea shop. But that was not why we chose this place.
We needed change for taxi but the buko juice kiosk refused to sell us any on account that they didn't have change (ayaw sa pera?!)
COMEBUY was convenient located at the bottom of the escalator and the lady was quite happy with our patronage.
The boyfriend and I have never been in there. But, hey, we love tea things.
They had a huge menu with lots of cool flavor combinations. It reminded me of our favorite Happy Lemon products.
I must say that COMEBUY teas were sold at a more affordable price point (but not by much).
The interior was sleek but comfortable. It was on the modern side mixing organic (wood) and metal.
We thought that was pretty neat and not too gimmicky, which is always a good thing.
It doesn't give the high-end vibe of Starbucks or Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf, welcoming a bigger demographic.
Whoever thought of the name and the logo is genius.
The logo is as suggestive as its name. The combination of colors in the shape of a traditional plastic tea container makes me think of a combination of exciting flavors.
We had Passion Blast and Chocolate Smoothie with pearl add-ons.
Passion Blast was ON SALE for about P10 less than its usual price. It already included pearls and coconut jelly! I got this for P85 in its biggest size.
Not to be out done, the boyfriend got the Chocolate Smoothie and then added the pearls for an additional P10. At its biggest size, we got the lot for P100.
Not bad for what we were getting.
The COMEBUY logo is also on the plastic seal.
The drinks were delicious and actually quite heavy. It's a meal in a cup.
We could barely finish the jumbo size drinks.
The Passion Fruit lives up to its name with a combination of different citrus flavors.
The Chocolate smoothie tasted like real chocolate instead of icky powdered chocolate flavor.
If there was something I didn't like, it's that the plastic container was really thin and felt flimsy.
But hey, you aren't really buying it for the container. :P
We will definitely have more of these in our next grocery trip!
Hope you enjoyed!
xo, Pau
