Follow the jump for what's in Chilli and Ink.
First off, I'm unsure why some list this as Chili (single L) and Ink, and others as Chilli (double L) and Ink. Well, their menus have it as a double L and I don't mind at all.
Chilli and Ink is a restaurant cum tattoo place (They can do permanent and henna.). Their main dish are varieties of spicy and/or sweet chicken wings.
Their best sellers are, of course, the spicy chicken wings appropriate called:
Hot Ng Ina Mo, Hot Ng Ina Mo Rin,
Hot Ng Ina Nyong Lahat.
The above wings have an increasing amount of hotness. But for those who like it spicy with a touch of sweet (ironic, right lol), you can try Hot Ng Ina Mo, Sweet.
They do their spicy wings well. BUT, they do their sweet/tangy wings EVEN BETTER.
Let's start with the place.
To match its edgy offerings of tattoo and wings, they painted the interiod matte blood red or stark blood red.
Unfortunately, this just makes me even more wary of getting a tattoo seeing all that blood red.
BTW, the stuff on the walls are all for sale. :)

The wooden tables are also red with the faux leather chairs in black.
I think the color combination they selected is biker chic in so many ways.
I would have loved to see chrome in the interiors though.

Although their wings are their best dish, my favorite is their chili con carne.
It's positively delicious. I could not get enough if it. I would not share my chili with anyone! They would have to get their own.
It has the right blend of smokey, chili, meat and beans. You cannot miss this!
If you'd like, you can have the chili con carne with rice, instead of nachos.
Other rice offerings are in the budget meal that comes with a drink and a cupcake.
Naturally, the budget meals have smaller servings of either the chili con carne or the wings.
They also have Ramen, but I haven't tried them yet.
While waiting, you can browse through tattoo magazines in the restaurant (see me with a mag below).
The service is good. The people are nice. Being a small business, one of the owners help to mind the place. For some reason, I find that really nice for restaurants along Maginhawa St. (not really a part of Maginhawa St. but it is... sort of... meh).
Don't mind my undone hair and no make-up look. I just crawled out of bed and was feeling like wings for very late breakfast and late lunch.
We got there just after lunch and we were the only customers. Yay!
Do drop by Chilli and Ink and try their very spicy wings.
They have this contest of sorts where the person who eats the spiciest wings gets to have their photo on the menu.
I forgot how this really works but you should drop by and have a look.
It has no special coupon/other prize but Bragging Rights cannot be bought by money.
x, Pau
