Your skin's version of a CLEAN SLATE!
As a replacement for my depleted supply of BODY SCRUB, I picked up this pack of salt scrub.
I'm no newbie to heavier scrubs. I've cleaned out a pot of lulur scrub a few years back. But that was the last time I went near bead-y scrubs.
I do not recall any adverse reactions towards these scrubs. In fact, I am very fond of scrubbing down every once in a while to take out the dead skin layer on top and reveal the fresh & healthy skin underneath.
WATSONS Whitening MILK & SALT Scrub with Papaya Extract
100 grams
Unfortunately, I don't remember how much this was.
I've had this sitting in my shower for a while. But I bet this was less than P120.
I wouldn't have picked this up if it wasn't on the affordable side ;)
The texture and taste is just like SALT. They weren't kidding when they labelled it as salt scrub.
The color is off-white. I assume this is because of the milk absorbed into the salt.
This melts in water very quickly, which is a good thing.
The packaging is a dud. The concept: the packaging is resealable.
There's no chance of opening up the packet with wet hands and salt gets stuck on the seal so you can't really seal it again properly. (Ergo, POINTLESS PACKAGING)
I suggest for you to transfer it to a plastic tub like above.
I got this from our local super market. It was meant to store sugar/coffee/etc and comes with a little scoop.
The scoop is what made me get this type of container since you can't dip wet fingers into this. That will just ruin the product.
TIP:
Stick the scoop into the MIDDLE of the container with handle pointing upwards.
This will let you pick it up easily without touching the product.
HOW TO USE:
1) Wet your skin. Do not try this on dry skin. The salt with just slide off.
1) Wet your skin. Do not try this on dry skin. The salt with just slide off.
2) Scoop a small amount on to wet palms.
3) Press palms together and whatever's on your wet palms is what you rub on your skin.
4) Rub into skin until dissolved.
5) Repeat Step 3 and Step 4 on entire body.
6) Leave it on your skin for 3 minutes.
7) Wash off completely.
PRO:
CHEAP
You gotta like that.
HEAVY DUTY
It does its job very well. I've noticed how my skin looks clearer.
My lotion is absorbed into my skin quicker!
Perfect for winter's peeling skin and summer's burnt skin.
CON:
SMELLS FUNNY
It has a very strong perfume. It's completely unneeded.
They could have spent the money on the packaging instead.
NO USE ON DRY SKIN
I've tried. It didn't work.
POINTLESS PACKAGING
You can always place the product in a container of your choice.
WHITENING?
It's not whitening. At least, I didn't notice any whitening effects.
I've had this for at least a month now, mind. I use it once a week.
PRODUCT CHALLENGE!!!
I've seen lulur scrubs advert that brides scrub themselves for 30 days before the wedding so that they'd look their prettiest.
By that I think they mean whiter complexion.
I will use this once a day to see if I'd get that too.
Stay tuned!!! :)
