The first rush of the "fall" semester is my busiest months ever.
With so many other things to do, I took the time to find a lip combo that's foolproof and easy-to-do.

Have you tried Liquid Lipstick?
This was my first time to use them. I've stayed away this long because of my unfounded fear of the horrors of application.

As a girl who enjoys darker lip shades, and holiday season is coming up afterall,
I gravitate towards plum-my shades like the REVLON Colorstay Ultimate Liquid Lipstick in 025 Premier Plum.
TALK PACKAGING!
The aesthetic is sleek and minimalist.
The tube itself is clear so it's easy to find.
The wand is a traditional doe-foot applicator.
The hairs on the applicator picks up the product pretty well.
The wand doesn't bend.
The entire thing is make of heavy-duty plastic, maybe acrylic?
APPLICATION!
^ BARE LIPS
^ 1 COAT (still wet)
^ 2 COATS (completely dry.
APPLICATION TIPS!
* Make sure that the applicator isn't loaded with product.
Brush the applicator on the side of the tube to remove excess.
*Apply a thin layer on your lips. It will be a bit sheer and shimmer isn't very visible once its dry.
*DO NOT rub your lips together. It'll just make the product congregate on the sides of the lips.
Instead, smooth out the product with your finger.
* Apply another thin layer on top to give you more color.
On the photos, it looks as if it's gone into the fine lines of my lips.
But that's not visible unless you zero in on the lips.
From normal distance, the product makes the lips look seamless.
CONS
It can feel drying on the lips.
It's like you've lathered on glue.
It doesn't feel as bad once it dries but it's still not moisturizing.
To combat that, I just lather on a layer of clear gloss.
I have an ultra-shiny gloss on but you can go for lip balms as well.
I recommend the Maybelline New York Babylips for a boost of moisture.
PROS:
I love that this is no-transfer.
It's the bane of my existence seeing my lip product on the rim of my cup.
It's long-wearing. Even after eating/drinking, you would still have a visible stain on your lips.
This my go-to everyday lip product.
What's yours?
xo, Pau
