Wondering how this local product works?
EVER BILENA ADVANCE Shine Free Make-Up Foundation
with UVA/UVB protection
in Oriental
They only have three shades: a very fair shade, a yellow based medium shade,
and a very pink dark shade. Hay naku!
Packaging is PLASTIC + PLASTIC.
SWATCHED!
Straight off the tube (top)
Blended on the hand (bottom)
See the difference? No? Me too!
Here's my skin without anything on it.
Excuse my messy hair and oily face.
I just came back from a jog, I lost track of time and the sun was going down on me.
I just needed to do this while I still had light :P
MY SKIN CONCERNS:
Uneven skin tone
Hyperpigmentation
Dark bags
Acne scarring
After months of trying to figure out how to make this work,
I find that this is the best way to apply it.
1) Squeeze half a peso coin amount of product on the back of your hand
2) Dot it all over your face
3) Spread it with your fingers to warm up the product
(This is impossible to stipple on. It's too liquid-y like a tinted moisturizer.)
4) Use a stippling brush or a face brush to buff it in.
TIP:
You MUST buff it in. It refuses to lay on prettily and even on the skin without help.
PROS:
Cheap.
Easily accessible (you can get it anywhere - even MERCURY DRUG).
Local.
Evens out skin, especially under sunlight.
Covers some hyperpigmentation.
CONS:
Smell!
chemical vanilla-ish (eyw)
Needs to be buffed/blended into skin.
It's like forcing your skin to absorb the thing. It will look cake-y if you skip this.
NOT SHINE FREE.
when you've buffed it in, it has this layer of excess oil on top.
you can get rid of that by dabbing tissue or blotting paper lightly on your skin
also, doesn't keep me shine free throughout the day
Does not cover all hyperpigmentation/any darkness/ any acne scarring.
It's a light coverage foundation. Very light - as in tinted moisturizer light
ASHY on the CHIN
to be fair, a lot of better foundations are ashy around my chin area
WHITE CAST
this is from the UVA/UVB protection
I do not recommend this.
But if you're just trying out local products, go for it.
xo, Pau
