In my last BRUSH COLLECTION post, I showed you my face make-up brushes.
Looking at it now, it seemed to be quite short since it only talked about five brushes.
Well, that's because majority of my brushes are EYE BRUSHES.
FOLLOW THE JUMP TO SEE MY EYE BRUSHES!
Just like with face brushes, all my eye brushes are also locally available.
I mainly shop at SM Department Stores (SM North and Megamall) and Landmark, Trinoma.
I'm sure that high end brushes are of better quality. But since I've never really owned an expensive "branded" brush, I wouldn't really know the different.
Ah, ignorance is bliss! :P
List of Brushes:
1. Artist Studio Dome Crease Brush
2. E.L.F. Dome Crease Brush
3. Artist Studio Flat Paddle Eye Brush
4. Shawill Flat Paddle Eye Brush
5. Paganini Flat Eye Brush
6. Fashion 21 Fluffy C-Shaped Eye Brush
7. Forever 21 Small Fluffy C-Shaped Eye Brush
8. Paganini Angled Liner Brush
9. Shawill Lip Brush
Artist Studio Dome Crease Brush
Artist Studio produces some of the best affordable brushes in the local market.
They are cheaper than E.L.F. brushes and the handles are way prettier.
I shop Artist Studio Brushes at LANDMARK, Trinoma.
I'm not sure if this type of black and pink handle brushes are still available though.
There are other similar brushes in different handles so that's ok. :)
There's nothing wrong with this brush: it's soft and dense.
I use this to apply color on my crease especially if I'm going for a defined crease color.
Because of its density, it's great for bringing shadow under the eye (to balance the look).
E.L.F. Dome Crease Brush
Everyone has good things to say about E.L.F. in the international beauty community. It's good quality meets affordability.
Unfortunately, "affordability" is relative and E.L.F. is actually one of my splurge brands.
As mentioned above, I prefer other brands that has a more competitive price point.
I actually had an incident with this brush. The sample was great but the brush I got had stiff hairs. The glue had bled on to the brush hairs. Eyw!
Luckily, I still had the receipt and the sales lady was willing to exchange it for another one. Yay!
I use this brush for softer crease color for a softer crease.
The brush is slightly leaning towards fluffy so I can use this as a blending brush too.
Artist Studio Flat Paddle Eye Brush
This is a fail brush for me. I originally planned to use this as a concealer brush.
But it was too stiff to use for that purpose. It tugs at my eyes!
It now works at its actual purpose - put color on the lids.
It's the worst performing Artist Studio brush that I have. The other two works phenomenally.
This is the brush I use to pat on a wash of color on the lids (especially to set a cream shadow) as it's relatively bigger than all my other paddle brushes. Just gently pat the color on.
Shawill Flat Paddle Eye Brush
This is my favorite lid color brush. It's smaller than the Artist Studio paddle brush so I use this if I'm placing multiple colors on the lid.
It's dense and soft and is also my favorite Shawill brush.
Shawill has pretty good quality brush. Part of my wishlist is their dual ended brush but that's almost P250!
That's almost as much as an E.L.F. Stippling Foundation Brush. So, that brush would have to wait. Plus, I've no idea how I'll store it! >.<
Paganini Flat Eye Brush
This tiny baby paddle brush is part of a set that was gifted to me last holiday as my main exchange-gift.
I was so thrilled to use Paganini brushes as I've never really tried them.
I think they're only available at Robinson's Department Stores and this particular set was bought from Robinson's Galleria.
This is the brush I use to apply colors in the inner corners of my eyes and under my brow (highlight colors).
It's perfect for that since it's small enough to apply color only on specific areas. I feel like the bigger brushes would put too much shadow in.
Fashion 21 Fluffy C-Shaped Eye Brush
OMG, you guys... This is my first brush that I EVER bought!
I think that was about 6 years ago.
Can you imagine how long a less than P100 brush has lasted?!
I highly recommend this brush as it's the most versatile brush I've used.
It's good for lid color, color wash, crease and, most of all, blending!
Because I can't afford a proper blending brush, this is my go-to blending brush.
It is super fluffy and soft!
If you're after a started kit, this is the brush to beat.
Forever 21 Small Fluffy C-Shaped Eye Brush
This the big Forever 21's little sister.
Just like it's big sister, the brush has the same quality as the bigger version.
This one is tinier than my Paganini brush. I use this to buff the inner corner color.
Paganini Angled Liner Brush
I wanted to use this brush to fill in my brows. But I didn't end up doing that because I was so unused to flexible angled liner brushes.
This was supposed to replace my Shawill angled liner brush that was stiff as heck. But I found myself going back to the Shawill stiff brush instead of this one.
Don't get me wrong. There's nothing wrong with this brush!
I'd just been accustomed to stiff brushes for brows. :3
Instead, I use this as a liner if I wasn't using my trusty NICHIDO Mineral Pencil.

Shawill Lip Brush
Last but not the least, this is the only lip brush in my collection.
I wouldn't have gotten one if it wasn't in the set. I suck at lining my lips (pencil or brush alike).
I use this brush to line my eyes as well and if I want a cut crease.
There you go! Those are my brushes.
I have a few others that I got as part of products (e.g. blush compacts).
But I only included ones that I directly bought or gifted.
All brushes should be available at your local Department Stores (SM North, SM Megamall, Landmark - Trinoma).
Nearly all eye brushes are under P100!!!
Beauty on a budget have a lot of options nowadays.
Lots of affordable brands have come up with good quality products (for its price).
I'm always on a look out for cheap alternatives.
It goes to show that just because you're on budget, doesn't you can't have beauty supplies!
Hope you enjoy!
