Yay for HAUL POST! As usual, I was shopping on a budget of P100.
I was at LANDMARK, Trinoma last week to pick up some more of my current fave polishes, OMG (Oh My Golly) by Klik. I am absolutely in love with this polish because it's very affordable for the quality of the product you're getting (usually - there are hits & misses). I'll be posting my OMG by Klik collection later on.
I picked up 4 items from LANDMARK, Trinoma. Note that OMG by Klik is not available in SM Deparment Stores or Watsons (North EDSA). I'm not sure if they're a LANDMARK exclusive. But that's where I get mine. I also prefer shopping for beauty items at LANDMARK because I think it has a better layout than SM Department Store. I find that there's a bigger selection to be ogled at in LANDMARK, Trinoma.

Yes, I know. I misspelled Klik. I wrote Klick instead of Klik. It's 3am and can't be bothered! :P
KLIK Nail Polish 7ml in FROSTED Superstar
OMG (Oh My Golly) Nail Colors by Klik 10ml in demure
OMG (Oh My Golly) Nail Colors by Klik 10ml in first date
BOBBIE Premium Nail Creme 8ml in MINT DAQUIRI
This is my first time to try Klik. The packaging makes me think that it's marketed towards teens.
Although I'm sure there are teen or kiddie polishes out there that are good quality, but teen polishes does not tend to have good color payoff. That's why I've shied away from Klik for a long time and stuck with OMG by Klik.
But then, I saw this and I couldn't resist. See below for the reason why I just had to get it.
Oh my golly, it's a freaking star in a bottle!!!
I love me some stars. And I thought that this would be perfect layered over some of my creme jewel toned polishes.
Or it could go alone for some mermaid nails!
Although it has a sea foam tint in the bottled, it layers absolutely clear on the nails.
I was not happy about that as I was planning to make it an accent, as well as layered over white polish (demure from OMG by Klik).
The formula is like jelly, so that the glitter could stick to it better. It might be great as a top coat.
The wand is wonderfully soft, which is something you need to be wary of when buying nail polish (OMG does not have a great track record of soft brushes).
The tiny multi-colored glitter is very pretty but it's very subtle. This is great for young girls (as I suspected all along) who aren't allowed brighter polishes.
Or, if you'd just like to add a layer of glitter over your nails that isn't too flashy, this is the polish for you.
It was a bit of a disappointment for me though. But it's only P16.00 - no harm done. :)
This is a cream polish and I got this plain shade because I needed a reliable white polish as "base" color for my glitter polishes.
I have had good experience with OMG by Klik in the past so I thought that this was a good idea.
I was so wrong! OMG by Klik in demure is a FAIL. I had to layer 3 coats to make it opaque. Otherwise, it's too translucent. (I'm wearing it right now, but the pictures didn't turn out nice.)
I don't mind translucent pearl polishes. But only if I'm told that it's supposed to be that way. This range is supposed to be opaque.
Sadly, it does not have good color payoff even though it looks opaque in the bottle (see below).
All OMG by Klik brushes are on the stiff and scratchy side. One of my OMG by Klik had an extra stiff brush but not all of them.
I'm thinking that I just got a bad batch. It still worked and was a very pretty color (full OMG by Klik collection is in the works). It remains one of my favorite nail polishes.
Before you purchase your polish, I highly recommend to open them and test the softness of the brush.
Mind that the brushes maybe stiffer than usual because the formula is runny (instead of creamy or jelly like consistency).
This is not the color of the season, I know. But I have missed out on pastel pink polishes this summer.
How can you not want to get this?
I've seen this before in my last shopping trip when I rediscovered OMG by Klik. But it was the end of summer so I went for the darker shades.
I regretted not getting this the first time, so I went ahead and took this home.
I haven't tried OMG by Klik in first date. But according to other beauty bloggers, this had good color payoff.
Even though this is an off season color, you can never go wrong with pastel pink.
Especially on day when you are just feeling girly! (that's nearly everyday for me)
BEWARE: OMG by Klik smells like chemicals. The newer the product is, the stronger the chemical smell would be. Over time, it gets fainter but not by much.
Although I have a love affair with OMG by Klik right now, BOBBIE Premium Nail Creme remains my nail polish husband. It's my fave nail polish brand for the monsoon months.
It's cheaper than Caronia (although, they are smaller by comparison) and have a bigger color range.
Last year, I think I got almost all of the polishes from their holiday collection.
You guys! You NEED to wait for their fantastic Holiday Collection. I've no idea what it'll be this year, but I doubt that we'll be disappointed.
I got the BOBBIE PREMIUM NAIL CREME in Glaze Mint Daquiri.
My trustee gold polish had ran out and I don't always fancy layering gold glitter on my nails.
I needed a solid gold color and this was the closest I could get.
I'm so glad that Bobbie came out with this color. As I've said, they have the widest color range for local polishes ever.
I'm so sorry that the pictures are blurry. >.<
I haven't tried this polish but it looks on the translucent side on the brush.
The only downside for BOBBIE is that their brushes are super tiny. SUPER TINY.
I prefer longer brushes as they are easier to use. So, this makes using BOBBIE a bit tricky.
Otherwise, it's all good. The brushes are soft. The formula is on the cream side. And, it has no strong smell.
Of course, COLOR RANGE YAY!
I'll be doing a series on my nail polish collection as soon as I am bothered to get a color wheel :P
SNEAK PEEK: Bobbie has come out with two new polish collection.
They have the beads, similar to Ciati beads for nails.
And the changing/morphing one.
I will be purchasing them soon and will write definitely share it with you.
Thank you so much for reading!
