Are you going to miss summer as much as I will?
I feel like summer ends once school starts. Well, summer vacation certainly will.
There'd been a few rain showers for the past couple weeks.
Don't get me wrong. I love the rain. But I do feel that summer 2013 has come to an end.

Time flies. So, why not wear a summer nail color while you still can?
A friend had recommended San San Nail Polishes a while back. But I've never picked it up... until now!

Sorry for the blurry pictures! :(
I just took them with my LG phone. And, my phone doesn't take clear pics indoors when it's cloudy.
Also, these pictures do not do this color justice!!!
It's called WARM BLUE. And, it's a glossy bright powder blue.

Except for the bottom pic, I took these photos with my phone indoors.
I got a lot of compliments today, when I wore these nails to work.
At first, I thought that it was going to make my hands seem more tanned.
But its brightness did away with that. So, for morena girls like me, don't be afraid of wearing this color! :)

I've proven that this color is certainly a summer color. How?
I was out walking along SM North, when I noticed how the left-over summer installations had the same blue as my nails!

As for this San San Nail Polish, it is REALLY hard to work with.
The first layer is totally translucent. It reminds me of those "natural" (read: clear) polishes that my mom wears.
The brush is so soft. I feel like I could use it to apply my eye shadow. That's how SOFT it is.
I don't particularly care for super soft brushes for polishes.
It makes it harder for me to apply nail polish.
But then San San had a reason for the soft brush applicator. The formula is so runny.
It's not creamy at all, unlike the Bobbie Nail Creme that I love.
I had to apply three VERY thick coats to bring it up to this color.
The trick is to load up your nail bed with the polish then spread it around.
You have to apply it very slowly as it tends to streak.
As you can guess, it takes a while to apply this polish. You have to be careful and make sure to apply the coat evenly. A good base coat would be great as well to even out the surface of your nail bed.

I would still love to try San San Nail Polishes again.
They have amazing color and doesn't cost very much (P35++).
I would say that Caronia nail polishes are better made. My 2012 summer nail polish came from their collection (On the Run - released this year as well).
But then, I didn't have awesome experience with that as well. It was stayed on for a longer time than other nail polishes I've tried. The formula is very creamy and application isn't as difficult.
But my bottle of On the Run quickly retired early as the polish became too gooey to be applied properly.
I haven't had my bottle of Warm Blue for very long, so we'll see how it goes.

What's your fave summer nail polish?
