We spend a good amount of time at Greenbelt. Props for Ayala!
Greenbelt is gorgeous! I love going there. The landscaping is just beautiful.
If you're going for a relaxing Sunday, with shopping and dining included, Greenbelt is the place for you!

WALK THIS WAY
A Norwegian friend were walking around Ortigas one day, and he commented that there aren't enough out door parks in the Philippines. After a while, he began to sweat like crazy under the scorching sun. He took back his comment, and said that he's glad to be indoors again! LOL!
This is true. The weather is can be brutally hot. I escape the heat by hitting the malls.
But Greenbelt's plan worked well! They planted greenery to make the heat more bearable and set up covered walkways around the place to connect all four Greenbelt sections. This is a wonderful walk even on an afternoon.
♡
FORESTED
When I say planted greenery, I didn't mean shrubs and topiary.
These are big sprawling trees that gives you a lot of shade.
I do not think you can climb them though :P
♡
OPEN SPACES
This is the "courtyard" of sorts in front of Greenbelt 3. Specifically, this is in front of Cafe Havana + Starbucks, etc.
At night, they have small concerts there, with live band and all.
♡
WATERSCAPE
There's also a few ponds here and there to give more relief from the heat.
Some of them have live fish in them! This is good since the water is stagnant and the fishies can eat the mosquitoes.
♡
DOME OF WORSHIP
That copper dome is a church. I didn't realize that it was a Sunday until I saw the hordes of people attending service.
♡
SPILLAGE
The dome couldn't hold all the people. Those who couldn't get in can stand outside while the priest's sermon blasted on speakers.
♡
BRIDGE TO SALVATION
I will always be fascinated by how religious my fellow countrymen can be.
Of course, the holiday season sees more church goers than any other months.
It may be tied to our great faith - not in a certain Supreme Being, but on life.
In that, everything will be ok. Maybe, something good will happen to our lives eventually.
♡
Have you been to Greenbelt lately?
